RIP Alexei Navalny.
Searched but couldn't find the thread that talked about all those who have mysteriously died in the Soviet Union....Navalny adds another person to the list of those who met their demise, albeit not as mysterious, but an opposition leader who met an untimely fate nonetheless.

Here in the US, we have to collect evidence, go to court, and then go through an onerous and time-consuming appellate process. It's so much more efficient the way the Russians do it. Putin really knows how to put the corpse in habeas corpus.

I wonder what a man that has anything he wants in his life and has as much as he wants anytime---what could he possibly gain--he already has anything he wants in ALL aspects in his life---

It's hard to vote him out of office when there's only one name on the ballot.

But, since Vladimir Poopin is a Head of State, anything we say about him on the HangOut is "political", and cannot be posted!
Same way I would not be allowed to speculate about why nobody else EXCEPT Vlad's translator was allowed in the room, when the American head of state was in there with him for what one comedian described as an "Employee Review".

Since this thread is allowed to continue without editorial comment, one must assume it is not political.

Paradoxically shutting down opposition is symptomatic of anger at one's own underlying weakness and vulnerability.
When your position of privilege relies on intimidation you remain vulnerable to the people you violate collectively realising that what they have to gain outweighs their fear.
In some environments oppressed people discover and share that realisation quickly. In other environments, when subject to lies and manipulation, it takes oppressed people longer. But all oppressed people reach that realisation eventually.

? In a nutshell summing up your post: "you cant have shunt without a bump" { Einstein } as well then, given a majority of population they will forever have collectively the power to interrupt.

Now, comrades, we grab banjos, grab balaliakas, we sing along!
"Go in and out the window, Go in and out the window, Go in and out the window,
Like we have done before"
(But, mostly out, for troublemakers!)

It's also crucial to understand that the definition of 'oppression' is the unfair prevention of freedom and opportunity.
It is not merely a convenient synonym for being exposed to action and opinion we dislike or disagree with.

It had been said.. by observers..
That there is a % of folks.. 4 to 10%..?
That will never wake up...
Long term indoctrination......?
you may choose to look at this answer ..
annahway you choose.. :0)
Remember...
it is harder to show someone that they have been fooled..
than it is to fool someone.. (remember your trueizum from past posts?)
personaly..
i think.. the folks that believe..that they are the smarter of the bunch..
Are the most difficult..to show them..as fooled..
But..
i..could be wrong... as i have been regaurded as not one of the smartest of the bunch... ;0)
I happen to know that ..i..have been fooled in the past.. so i now stay gaurded..for that..folks that consiter themselves..too smart to be fooleed.. tend to think that they can not be fooled..
From me own observations.. i have made in me life..
Mebee i am just foolin meself.. 'eh.. ;0)
cheers..
