Mr McEuen, I can not tell you how much I have enjoyed Will the Circle Be Unbroken.
All of them !
I doubt a day goes by that I don’t play along, or at least try, to play along with songs from the various volumes.

Thnx for all your endeavors, John. I’ll agree with Earl when he said ,”Now there’s the fella who really plays Randy Lynn Rag like it’s supposed to be played!”  smiley

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was the main influence in my musical life in the 1970s. Thanks John for that and all you did.

Thank you, John. I imagine this meeting is what led eventually to the landmark "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" album.
How beautifully you played!
What a treasure to have recorded. Thanks again...

I found a pristeen copy of the original Circle album a couple years ago and I treasure it.
I suppose I still play a dozen songs I learned from a listening to it years ago.
Thank you John and all the Nitty Gritty fellas!

Very generous and humble of you to share that on this little ole banjo forum.

Thanks for the post, John. I'll pile on with the others who are telling you how important Circle was for them. It sure was for me.

How wonderful to read your post/video.

Wtcbu was an hugely influential lp for me, along with Aereoplane.

Given the politics of the era, and being 15, it was important for me to see’counter culture’ musicians playing country and bluegrass. That was a time when i associated the music with the stars and bars and gunracks, ala Easy Rider.

Thanks.
