Thanks, Paolo! You have three statements there. Here are my replies:
1. Yes, I think the banjo can certainly be used in different contexts. The composer of this piece is a classical musician who is very suprised at how much he likes the banjo for his music. He is totally re-thinking the instrument.
2. I have confused you. This is not a 4-string VERSION of the 5-string original. It is a companion piece. Here is the 5-string piece from the same composer, called Nightfall - a wonderful work!
3. Yes, the Ome is wonderful! I am in love with it!
