Tuesday morning very early at Jamaica Plain.
Arriving day before and coming home the day after.
Doctor called the pulling of my face a "sling" and one of my TOGUS docs said I was their first patient with a palsey.

Everything went great on Tuesday.
My surgeon didn't shave my full beard and his "work" is pretty much invisible under it.
Mouth droop is gone/no more permanent frown and I no longer feel like I have a change purse attached to the left side of my face.
Left cheek bone is swollen but receding daily.Took 2 pain pills Wednesday after getting home and enjoyed careful eating at a friend's Thanksgiving yesterday.

Maybe I can borrow a camera after the swelling goes down.
Left eye will always be useful, but sewn about 60% shut.I knew that going in.

Sounds like everything's hunky-dory, Steve.
Glad you're back and on the mend.

Good work Steve. It sounds like you are getting a lot of surgical experience . I went to my eye doctor for an annual checkup last week. The good news is that my eyes are doing well but both eyes need a cataract removed. Getting older is like becoming a 40 year old car. Every visit to the shop results in more repairs and replacements.

I've had a few surgeries from '06 to now,Don.Those good experiences have left me very confident in hospitals.
I'm scheduled for cataract surgery in the spring or sooner.
Very much looking forward to that.
