Some discussion groups (I think NextDoor has this) allow you to block posts from specific members. If a member is offended by numerous classifieds by one business, or can't stand certain other members, then maybe they could just block those classifieds and other posts. It would keep certain members from feeling a need to pick at others maybe.
The easier way would be to create a list of people who can see your responses.
I did notice bho has the ability to create groups with memberships. There is one for stelling for instance. Not sure if you can create a group and control membership? You can also blog but unsure if you can control who comments to your blog.
Im not on twitter but it seems a lot of celebrities let everyone see what they say but let no one respond...
BHO has soo few members that participate in angry discussions its probably best to just put on some big boy britches and give up on the idea of converting others thinking and be content. Most who participate seem to like the rivalry.
Old news. Old idea. As Frank said above: this has been discussed many times and always had the same answer: NO. We don't want an ignore feature. It just causes hurt feelings, bad thoughts and nasty comments and doesn't really do anything productive.
If you don't like someone, don't read their threads/answers and that works as a personal ignore. If you read, answer and start something, then you are the one who starts the feud, which we moderators have to stop.
