Been on this site for half an hour and still cannot find GTR Banjos for sale. Where is the search tab? I want to put my GTR up for sale. Where is the 'sell your instrument' tab? Very frustrating.

Click "Marketplace" to the left of this screen, scroll down. Search engine is "Q" to the left also. banjered

Hi Lee
Make sure you're logged in to your Banjo Hangout account. Hover your cursor over the word 'Marketplace' in the listing on the left of your screen. A small selection panel will be displayed. Choose the option 'Post New Ad'. You'll be presented with an input panel into which you can type your ad. When you enter the make of the banjo, it will automatically be listed under that make in the 'for sale' listing.
Good luck with the sale.

I believe the "Q" is a magnifying glass, symbolizing search.

There are none right now.

Not really a search tab. Hover your cursor over "Marketplace" in the left navigation column. A big window pops up. At the bottom left of it there's an white box that says "Search Classifieds." In that box, enter "GTR" or whatever you're looking for.
Alternatively, click "Marketplace" in the left column to go directly to the Classifieds. Enter "GTR" in the wide, white, "Quick Search" box.
Alternatively, on this same page, the second column in from the right will be links to various ways to quickly filter and view the current ads. Scroll down until you see the heading "Popular Makers" to see all the brands of banjos for which there are currently ads. Scroll down to try to find GTR or whatever brand you're looking for. It's alphabetical. Parentheses after each name tell you how many active ads there are for that brand. If you don't see the brand you're looking for, click "Show More Makers" at the bottom of the list to bring up the rest that are currently listed.
I don't see GTR, which means there are none for sale here at this time.

An earlier response has described how to bring up the "Post New Ad" link.

You've already received some pretty good information, but let me add: before you post an item for sale, please read the rules and guidelines for classified ads. That information can be found here: banjohangout.org/classifieds/rules/. Then proceed to post a new ad. Go here: banjohangout.org/classifieds/e...p?id=1209.
To find all this information yourself, hover over Marketplace on the left hand side of the page and you'll find post new ad, classified rules and many other items related to classifieds.
It can be rather intimidating when you first join, but please feel free to ask questions and either a mod or a member will be happy to help you find what you need.
Welcome to the Hangout. It will get easier after a few days.

Also, ad creation is counter-intuitive, to put it kindly.
If you want pictures in your ad, and who doesn't?, you have to go through the whole process of creating and posting the ad, after which you can upload photos to it.
Keep at it. Everything eventually becomes clear.
