Heard this afternoon that Tina Turner passed away!!! Always liked Tina and her entertainment over the decades!!! The woman went through a lot and survived and did well for herself, and she sure could shake it !!!

After what she survived, it was too easy for me to believe she was indestructable.

My wife saw her in concert about twenty years ago when she was *only* in her 60s, and she danced nonstop the entire night. My wife said just watching her was exhausting. She also calls it one of the top 5 shows of her life. Tina was one of the few musical bright spots in the 80s. Private Dancer was just fire.

What an awesome entertainer...
...very few women in her category with such a history and legacy.

Absolutely best legs in rock and roll. Outstanding performer. I imagine wherever she ended up she came in Nice and Rough. Roll on Tina.

Tina probably single handed revived Tony Joe White’s career with her version of “Steamy Windows”. Tony Joe played in her band for awhile. She will always be Queen Of Rock and Roll in my heart. I believe she had her legs insured??

I got to see her "live" (with Ike) at the Pan Am Center while attending NMSU, in Las Cruses back in 1972. I think the first band that night was "Fanny"? A great show, for sure.
RIP, Tina. Thank you, for the memories. Brad

Here's my brother's Tina Turner memory:
========================
One of the things I did at UW-Parkside was to hire Tina Turner. She & Ike were still performing together but something pissed her off during their 2nd set and she ran him off the stage. It was a really great show.
