With the passing of the great Gordon Lightfoot, I listened, in his honor, to cuts of a few of his old songs. One of my favorites has always been "Old Dan's Records" and I particularly love the banjo break by the wonderful Canadian banjo player Larry Good. Does anybody know if Mr. Good ever transcribed that break? (I have heard that he is not fond of tablature, but I have my fingers crossed.)

I play it as a simple forward roll with chord changes. Probably not the way Larry Good played it, but it works for me, it fits, and people seem to like it OK.

There's also some nice banjo accompaniment on James Keelaghan's recording of Gordon's "Canadian Railroad Trilogy."
