I thought I replied earlier today. Check out Hudson Valley Bluegrass Assoc. monthly jam in Poughkeepsie.
Also check Adirondack Bluegrass League to see if they have a jam. General Glens Falls/Lake George area.
You find both via Google. Good luck.

The Adirondack Bluegrass League has one in Queensbury (Glens Falls, Exit 18 on I-87) has a jam at their meeting, usually the second Sunday of the month, and all are welcome. Not far from Albany. There is also one at the Crandall Library in Glens Falls (same exit) on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. Caffe Lena in Saratoga has one usually on the 3rd Wednesday of the month (check their schedule at caffelena.org). There are others around, including a couple bars, but I haven't attended them. These are all pretty good ones. PM me and I might be able to give more information.
