Hi,
I'm really sad that the Amazing Slow Downer doesn't work with Spotify any longer. It was so easy and useful for me and I didn't have to download a bunch of music and store on different devices. According to Spotify, third party apps will no longer have access to slowing down their catalog.
Anyone have experience with Apple Music? Do they have a similar amount of old music on there? Does it work as well with the Amazing Slow Downer? And I guess it's illegal now, but is there any alternative to ASD that found a loophole in Spotify's new policy?
My ear is still struggling trying to figure out stuff played at full speed.

I use the YouTube playback speed settings for learning tunes.

Thanks Bill. I've known this was possible, but think I've underestimated the amount of music that's on YouTube. Looks promising. Not as efficient without looping possibility's, but still good!

You can use a YouTube-download program (I have a very basic looking one on my phone that works better than anything I have found for the big box) to download the video or just audio and then put that into your slowdowner. This probably makes looping of selected portions easier.

This was posted by a BHO member a while back. You can loop ant YouTube video and change the speed.

Video Surgeon also has zoom, loop, and can be set to any speed in 1 percent increments. It can download from youtube and PC files.

Everything to be found on any streaming platform is on YT.
BTW, YT has a loop function now but you need to export it into a seperate, saved video.

Thanks a lot everyone! Going to mess around with this over the weekend.

Here’s a useful trick:
If we take a YouTube link like YouTube.com/abc
We can put pi next to the word YouTube like this:
YouTubepi.com/abc
And immediately it’ll take you to a safe download site. From there, just plug it into the slowdowner!
