Don't know how many people are familiar with Acoustic Corner, but they have curated a great selection of new and used banjos, guitars, fiddles, basses, ukes, etc. Here is their most recent video of the banjo selection. If a trek to Asheville area seems like a hike, we are entering peak leaf season and it is well worth a trip to see it. I know a lot of people are curious about the new GoldTone Bela Fleck banjo heart model. Fifth String Music in Greenville has one, and it's pretty cool. (If you are planning for the weekend, check the hours, they actually close a little early on Saturday).

Thanks, Brian! Great timing for I'm headed that way this weekend and spending time in Black Mountain....in addition to eating my way through Asheville. Amazing area for folks who have never been. Great place and this IS the time of year to be there. Going to see Greg Cahill and Special Consensus to boot too! Can't wait!

Brain ..... I am a long, long, long time friend of Susan Snyder of the 5th String Music (probably more than either of us want to admit). In addition to being a great singer and guitar player, and business person, she is just one of the best people I know. Just a fine person. I would never hesitate to buy anything from Susan. Anyone needing a nice instrument caould do no better than starting with Susan at the 5th String!

Definitely! Susan also is one of the most dedicated persons I have ever met in terms of helping kids. We are incredibly fortunate to have that store in our community, and the new location is a big improvement. (I was getting too old for those steps and the smell of those fries from Wendy's is solely responsible for my impressive girth :-) ).

Brian ..... I have not been to her new location. She told me she was moving, but I noticed that her website still gives the old address on North Street. Hopefully she will get that changed soon.
