I don't think it's being called a pandemic at this point. There are medications that will alleviate/stop the disease and probably one that will prevent it, too.

Not a pandemic, "merely" a Global Health Emergency. And once again, the actual facts are being suppressed so as not to offend or "stigmatize" those who contract it. Hint, if not engaging in male homosexual intercourse your odds of contracting monkeypox are infinitesimal. So, those who do should take all the recommended necessary precautions and those who don't can stop worrying about this latest scare story and go on the worrying about the next thing, because there will always be a next thing.

I agree with Terry, the Monkees were a great band for a young boy to enjoy. Last Train, I'm a Believer, Stepping Stone, good songs.

Whenever we have a few cases of a serious disease here (measles, meningitis etc) the headline of the news is PANDEMIC! It is scare mongering of the hightest order. That's why I don't take the news seriously.
