Today, the cutest gal you ever saw came into our store in her bathrobe. No idea if there was anything else underneath, though if I were a betting person, I would be inclined to think not.

I'm going to admit, I'm jealous. I don't have the kind of body that can get away with shopping in a store in a bathrobe. It ain't fair. If I have to wear pants, the rest of the world should have to, too!

Show of hands... how many of you have ever gone shopping without your pants?

No, but does bathing in a cow pond near the road during the '73 Watkins Glen rock festival count??

And no, the several of us, who by the way didn't know each other, nor would ever meet again, did not care how we looked.

Mander, I'm with you: I would NEVER go anywhere unless properly dressed. I see too many people at Walmart and other stores that are scantily dressed and most of them don't have the body to go with the outfit. Yuck!

While I think shopping in a bathrobe sounds lazy and somewhat inappropriate, I guess it's not technically much different than a dress?

It's not unusual to see people wearing their bathrobe/housecoat & gumboots at the mail box or while walking the dog in these parts!

On Facebook I'm linked to a site called "Lost Kootenays."   T'other day this popped up [Johnson's Landing, North Arm of Kootenay Lake]... couldn't find a date, but I'm guessing late 60s-ish.... in any event it's nice to know enlightenment/acceptance/??? wasn't dead.

May be an image of nature and text that says 'PLEASE BE OTHER PEOPLE'S CONSIDERATE OF PREFERENCES. IT IS REQUESTED THAT CLOTHING BE WORN TO THE LEFT OF THIS SIGN. CLOTHING IS OPTIONAL TO THE RIGHT OF THIS SIGN.'

On a sad-ish note, 'way back a middle-aged (?) lady, dressed in housecoat/slippers,  would occasionally make an appearance at the bar of the Valley Inn [Swan River, MB], fairly late in the evening.

Yaroslav, I assume you're ^^ referring to the OP, but know that you'd be welcome at Kootenay Lake.... they only ask that you be considerate, not bold.  wink
