Good dark and early morning from chilly Kingston, Ontario. It's -17C now, will drop to -22C, and then soar to a reasonable -10C later, all with a chance of flurries. These are quiet days while we wait for news about our furnace installation. At least the one we have isn't giving us any problems. Yesterday I got a call from my urologist, who wants to get me into the cancer clinic (at last). It seems there might be some radiation in my future. Maybe I'll glow in the dark!

On this date: Born: Slim Harpo, 1924. Also on this date the British House of Lords ratified the Representation of the People bill, which gave women the right to vote.

Painting: Montreal Street Scene, Winter, by Paul "Tex" Lecor. He was an artist and a chansonnier, one of the Quebecois songwriters popular in the Sixties, part of the growing Quebec nationalist movement at the time. This painting even shows the temporary no parking sign, due to the narrowing of the street from the ploughing. They also put the signs up shortly before snow removal.

If you're reading this, why not drop in and say hello?

Have a great day!

Thanks Paul.

We’ve got similar temps to Paul with a brisk breeze making it feel even colder. I took a nice predawn walk and shoveled about an inch of snow off the driveway.

Here’s another interesting tree feature. I couldn’t get close to the tree but I had my 300mm fresnel lens with me and was able to get the shot.

Good Morning from overcast and cold (-2f) Northeast Wisconsin. Got back from 3 week 'Christmas Vacation' in western Washington state. Getting back was an adventure, cancelled trains, snow slides, closed passes, emergency hotel stays and long plane flights. Then drive 200 miles round trip to pickup Her car where we left it when we left on our 'Christmas Vacation' with Daughter, Son-in-law and Grandkids.
Fortunately out neighbor came over with his end loader and cleaned our drive. He likes to play with his big toy.
Today is rest and relax and catch up.
Spending the day in front of a fire cleaning up over 1000 emails.
Have a good day, keep warm
