An original tune in the baritone range, between cello banjo and standard pitch.
Silverwound nylon strings, on a Bob Carlin model BC-350+.

Lovely tune Paul.

So glad you liked it @hobogal. Thanks for your comment.

The title matches the soft sweetness and tempo of the tune. Is that model banjo meant for that range or is it just that you put different strings on it to give it that sound?

Paul Roberts - Posted - 01/09/2022:  08:49:27

rickhayes Thanks for your comment. Yes, I just changed the strings.
The Gold Tone Carlin models (BC-350 and CC-Carlin12) have a 12" head and a wide 1-3/8" nut, which support wound strings and deeper tone. Soon, I'll be receiving a Carlin12 tricked out, in several ways, for low tunings with wound strings. These go well all the way down to octave tuning, and in-between. They sound great in standard range, too. But my interest is what they can do in lower ranges. If I like the Carlin12 mod, I'll include it on my retail site banjocrazy.com.

Another deep tune, in both sound and emotion, from the Banjo Hangout's most transcendent player. You have calmed my soul for this evening, now you have to do the rest of the world.

Paul, this tune is simply beautiful. Today has been an emotional day for me and somehow this tune is a soothing balm for me. Thank you.

@banjoy

Frank, I'm happy you liked it!

I look forward to your next recordings. I always enjoy the depth of tone you pull out of your banjo, your technical facility, and the feeling you put into your music.
