My son is a music ed and performance major at UMass Amherst. He’s a multi-instrumentalist who plays with me when he’s home from school on mandolin, guitar and bass. However, trumpet is his primary instrument.
He wrote and recorded this piece for a theory class. It commemorates the holocaust and is meant to evoke getting sent to the concentration camps. His maternal grandmother’s family died in the camps so it’s a topic he’s interested in.

Update,
Ethan submitted this as an assignment for a theory class. The theory professor played it for the dean of the music department who sought Ethan out and said they want to premier the piece at a concert and record and publish for him. Ethan was honored and pleased. I’m happy for him.
