This's my Banjo Karaoke version of a Robbie Williams popular song from 2013.

In an interview with Magic FM, Williams said that the song is a promise to his daughter Teddy. He said: "Go Gentle is a promise I'm making to my daughter. It was written when she first arrived on the planet and I'd been a selfish popstar for most of my life and then all of a sudden I've been asked to take care of this whole person. I still am scared that I'm not up to the task! I'm doing a good job of being dad but it's scary, you have to look after this person for the whole of their life, I'm not very good at even looking after me!" Key, Dm Tuning, CGBD. Thanks f'tunin In.

Happy New Year Everybody, from the Land Down Under. ....... Don.

Thanks to Chris Meakin, here's the correct link to the Robbie Williams official video .......

I'm not familiar with Robbie Williams, but your interpretation conjured up an image of Clint Eastwood's "Fist Full Of Dollars" character. As you played, I could imagine that lone figure squinting into the blazing Sun at a distant pueblo village. Pulling a cheroot from under his serape, he lights it and rides toward the horizon as your banjo sets the mood. It's atmospheric music that suggests both promise and threat. Good on'ya, mate. Nice post.  Hope 2021 is a good one for you.

Don Lewers

That’s great Don. I appreciate you introduce me to tunes I’m unfamiliar with. How’s the weather down under? I’ve heard it’s been hot. Hope you are doing well.

Cheers Rick and Mike appreciate your comments. Yes, it's hot as, here Mike, and the worst few months are yet to come. When I recorded my 4 bar whistling solo in Go Gentle. my lips dried up so quickly, my whistling seized up!, wetting my lips with water eventually saved the day ...... the joys of recording!.
Thanks to you all for supporting this Topic, this's a new song for many folks, and it could have simply, hit the proverbial brick wall. ...... Don.
