While singing projects particles which land on equipment, especially mikes, what steps are you taking to ensure you don't reinfect yourself or others.

As an anti-social hermit, I'm not taking any specific steps for the issue you describe.

When I went to Elderly to try out new banjos, they had some sort of 'UV disinfecting process' that took about 20 minutes to fully sterilize the surface of their instruments after a customer handled it. Perhaps you could look into a UV system.

I agree the UV sterilization system is the way to go if you feel you need to sterilize your equipment. It works and is simple.

For electrical/electronics, UV or ionization are preferable.

A cheap fix (not that it matters to me these days): everyone has their own foam windscreen.

Destroy everything at the end of the show.

Worked for The Who, and that was BEFORE all this nonsense.

Just researching right now, I played a wedding reception and sang through a mask, no mike.
More later.

In the spring, I gave everyone in my band “their” singing microphones. They took them home & used the same mic when needed( 3 times since most things were canceled). When this is over I’ll put all my microphones back in my case like I’ve always done.
