Hi all. I've got an RB 150 Gibson bowtie with an FON of 612505-16. I've never been able to date this thing, though most 150s were made in the 1950s. Anybody got a clue?

thx
Randy

That number seems atypical. Do you have a picture of the number?

Yeah, unusual. 150s were made in the late 1940s also.

150s were made from 1949 to 1958.

Is that a new acquisition, Randy, or is this one I've already seen?

Here's the FON. The banjo was all original when I bought it, except for a mystery tone ring (now a Huber). It would have had a brass hoop when it began life.
