It is important to look for signs of the maker of a banjo. In this case someone in the past has taped a Gibson medium plectrum to the back of the banjo. And thus it has been listed on Ebay Uk as a Gibson Medium banjo!

Is there another listing for it as a B.O.A.C. Model banjo as well--I wonder?

Love that BOAC sticker. Harks back to the days when you could check in your banjo without a case and pick it up in one piece at the other end.

I've got a couple of those plectrums. Ker-ching!

I'm not sure what's more surprising, the fact that this can be called a Gibson because of the pick, or the fact that the BOAC label suggests there was a time you could put a banjo in an aeroplane hold without a case. Especially surprising for an instrument as rare as a Gibson Medium.

Nice, a rare medium-sized banjo.

I think the banjo is medium thickness.

Or perhaps it is a spiritual medium and able to bend spoons and contact the dead.

It sure ain't Gibson. Medium? Nah, more like raw. I mean, it's not rare and definitely not well-done.

Its the ‘Spears’ i’m worried about !

Oh dear. The listing has been renamed. The chance of getting a Gibson Medium has gone. Although it's still in the description.

Yes, and it's first revelation from the great beyond is that its seller is an idiot, and the person who buys it is a sucker.
