About 6-8 months ago I asked about an online chord finder. A gentleman on this forum answered with an incredible online tool that helped me a lot. It may have been from AU, but I’m not certain. It was an amazing tool that helped me tons as a new player. It even allowed me to print chord progressions. Unfortunately I seemed to have lost the link and everything I had printed. Vary bad move on my part. Can anyone help? Thanks. Larry Rinehart

Ira- I wouldn't go so far as saying I'm playing the banjo, but I'm working on it. I bought a Deering Artisan and worked on some clawhammer stuff, but am drawn to Scruggs style picking. I'm wishing I would have started at age 6 instead of 60. Oh well. Larry

Keep in mind that this a machine that generates answers that aren't necessarily the way a human banjo player would play it, for example check for a Bm chord

If you can memorize the fret note of each string then finding chords will become second nature……all notes on the first string frets are the chord key in the F shape chords……all notes on the second string frets are the chord key in the D shape chords……all notes on the third string frets are the chord key for the bar shape chord….4th string are compliment notes for those chords ….then its from there 7ths, minors…etc but the basics will give you the road maps for those. To simplify it for starters just memorize to the 5th frets of each string.

Easy way to remember it as THEO's chord finder!
Remember that THEO is Greek for GOD.
And when you can't remember which chord finder it is, just snarl, in Greek, "God curse my fading brain!"

O Theós katára ton xethoriasméno enkéfaló mou!
Even if you only get as far as the second word, there it is!

PS: WHY the Greek god ZEUS was sculpted with celery stalks sprouting out of his head, is just another theological mystery.

Those aren't celery stalks, they are uncooked flutes of macaroni. It's why the term "noodle" got applied to people's heads.
And with that remark, it's now pretty obvious that my own brain is fast becoming noodle soup.
