New to clawhammer but had some guitar experience. I'm almost done learning a 1min tab of Dixie that is in aDADE or double C with a capo on the 2nd. Thought it would be smart to learn my 2nd tune in the same tuning so I can still play Dixie and take advantage of being used to that portion of the neck. I'm thinking of Soldier's Joy but the one I saw looks a bit difficult. Any other ideas of songs in this tuning, I need to be able to find tabs. Thanks

I'd rather suggest you get the tunes in your head and then move your fingers around and try to find the notes on the banjo. You won't get them all, but you should be able to sketch the tune. The important thing is to get your right hand relaxed. You might try to play without any drop thumb until you do get your right hand motion down. Once you do that, then you can start to drop thumb which will take a while until you can get you right hand relaxed doing that.

Get that right hand to work.

Soldiers Joy (there should be some easy tab versions somewhere on-line)
Arkansas Traveler
Mississippi Sawyer
New Five Cent
Johnny Don't Get Drunk
Sugar Hill
Forked Deer
Over the Waterfall
Cumberland Gap

That should keep you busy for while. If you like tab you should be able to find it for most of those tunes. There might also be some free on-line lessons for some of them also.
