Have played in the hospital dining rooms before and when i would be in there for a couple week they would let me keep instruments in a locker that i locked . I would be in the long term care part and some would even have "Do Not Resusate" tags on them . So songs we would do and some would sing along to even maybe be the last time they get to do in this life . It's a great joy to see the smiles from my fellow veterans and maybe some of there last . Thank you for thinking and doing some music for them .

Yes, it's awesome to see the guys get 'engaged' ~ remember a melody, and begin singing & tapping it out. There's a connection that is made ~ autobiographical musical memories ~ even when all else is shutting down!
Before the lockdown, I was going into the dementia care unit once a week and playing for the guys/ vets. When they 'locked down, we came up with this ' HOOT ' idea. Now the recreation director feeds it from YouTube to the 'bigscreen' in the dementia unit, and the Community Living Center.
