Hi all-- I'm not really into a lot of audio or video recording. What I'd like to do is find an easy,I repeat easy, way to make short multi frame videos.

I want to make a video of myself playing tenor banjo, then video the same tune with me playing whistle. Android would be nice although I could also do it on a Win 10 laptop.

Ideally, I'd be able to listen to the first recording while making the second so as to keep the playing in sync.

Freeware or shareware would be ideal but I'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount to be able to do this and share the results on Irish music sites. Thanks.

Try a search for "picture in picture" or 'video overlay"on the 'net to see if you can find something. As I recall, there is at least on member here on the HO who knows how to do this sort of thing - hope he sees this. Maybe change the title of the thread? Easy way to make picture in picture (PIP) videos?

Thanks, that's a good idea. I just added picture in picture to the thread title.

If you are on a Mac, IMovie does a great job at this .... Also a phone app called acapella does exactly what you are looking for.

Supposedly, Acapella does not work on newer Android phones, like my Samsung S8. They haven't updated the app since 2016
