I have been inspired to relearn this tune. Does anyone have Carl's publication they could copy and email me the tune.

Thanks

Wayne

I have one or maybe two tabs of it, but I don't know if it's the same or similar to what you're looking for. I've been working on it for years and am still not satisfied with what I'm doing but it is what it is. I'm not sure how to get them to you but if you're interested, I'll try.

I just watched Carl's version on youtube and I play an almost note for note version of it. I believe it's Don Stover's version but don't quote me on that. I learned it in the very early 70's. I hope this will work for ya.

Nice one Terry,

Here is Carl Jackson's Version of Little Rock Getaway. I don't know about the publication version. This is his version I tabbed from an LP many years ago...Jack   p.s. stay away from others and be safe, at least for now...

Here’s a video of Ashley Campbell and Carl playing. Fitting, seeing how Ashley’s Dad was from Arkansas. Odd I don’t see them fretting the 5th at the 12 fret in the first measure.

Chuck,

My tab version is from an LP not a youtube. Try to keep that in mind when referring to my tabs. You seem to criticize so many people when you don't know what you're talking about. It is rude and inaccurate...Jack

If you can Sam, that would be great.

?? Jack, I wasn't critizicing anyone, especially not you.  I never said your tab was taken from the video I posted. Two tabs were offered on this thread, both showing the 5th being fretted at the 12th fret.  I just thought some people would like to see the vid of Ashley & Carl - not to point out that discrepancy, but for general interest. Off hand, I made the remark about that 12th fretting deal. And I don't recall criticizing folks on here,, oh, maybe the odd comment about how I would play something other than the way the tabber shows it.  But then perhaps you should disregard this explanation since I might not know what I'm talking about.  Sheesh, Jack.  Been cooped up too long?
