"The Manhattan Minstrel" It's "Madi Gras" this week down in NOLA so here is: Eddy Davis playing and singing a song from 1931 by Alfred Offer & Johnny Mercer recorded by the wonderful Clarinetist Pete Fountain. Pete use to come in often to the club on Rush St in Chicago in-which my band was playing opposite the Original "Dukes Of Dixieland" (the Asunto family). That was "Back in my Chicago Days". Davis is playing it on his Custom OME 12" head, 17 fret Tenor Banjo.
Yes it's that time of the year -- Tuesday is "Fat Tuesday". All of New Orleans and Brazil is going CRAZY! I hope you enjoy it. Eddy Ray Davis
