I have a friend’s GoldTone OB250F. The serial number is 201153. Can anyone ID for me the manufacturing date from this serial number?

Where are the serial numbers? Are the rims and the neck marked with numbers?
I purchased an OB250+ when I started leaning banjo. I talked with Wayne and other staff before buying and they were very welcoming and I was impressed Wayne was always available for my calls from Australia. Unfortunately my banjo turned up without the curly maple neck which was one reason I purchased it. I was told they had run out of those necks and I had to pay shipping back to the USA if I wanted it replaced. Noo way I just spent over $3000 Australian dollars on shipping, insurance, import fees etc. If I knew that I would have purchased a Stelling or Gibson or Osbourne Chief.

Ok I've calmed down now. My point is if my neck was incorrect on my banjo would the serial number be true information?

Thanks folks,
I got a quick response from Wayne Rogers giving me the manufacture date.
