I’ve seen unused pre-epa high crown Weather King heads go for $150 and more, but not sure exactly when this one is from and wanted to price it fairly. I’ve attached photos.

i would think about 100 bucks right now would be fair. i too have seen them bring more, but most everything is a bit down right now. i am NOT going to buy it, so no ulterior motive!! a good used one will fetch 75 to 80 bucks. if it's a med crown 11" then it may bring just a bit more.

As what GStump said above.

It all depends upon the size of the head. If it will fit a Gibson Mastertone, you can get upwards of 100$ if it is in exceptional condition.

If it does not fit a Gibson Mastertone, it would be worth less than 1/2 that at most.

Very little call for vintage heads for non-Mastertone banjos.

Thanks. It’s 11” and will fit a mastertone banjo. Sort of thinking I should put it in mine LOL

Keep it and put it in yours.

I love the old ones.  I think it's a good idea for you to keep it, but if you decide otherwise, let me know!

What does pre-epa mean?

A week or two I saw someone locally selling a pre-epa 11 in. medium crown head for $20 on Craigslist. It looked like it had never been used, so I quickly arranged a meet up. I was very disappointed to find out that it was not a frosted head! Oh well...
