Here is Charlie Parker's Dexterity
Bebop is usually played at punishing tempos, but I found that playing it to a swing rhythm revealed a lot more of the beauty of the tune.
Yes, I'm making a virtue out of necessity - I could never play this at 200 bpm to save my life anyway!

Laurence’ I did not realize until tonight that you are Seattle Uke. I subscribe to your YouTube channel because your playing is always so tasteful and expressive in every genre. Thanks for posting your videos. I would love to meet up with you sometime when we’re on the west coast. I used to play in Victoria a few times a year with a dear friend who recently passed but we still head that way. Our son is in the Vancouver Symphony and one of his good friends from his university quintet days is principal oboe in the Seattle Symphony. You are very lucky to have her in your orchestra. Perhaps you are friends with my friend Carol who hails from both Seattle and Hawaii. She does some cruise ship work out of Seattle. Can’t think of her last name at this point. lol

Hey thanks Ernie - I am also Seattlebanjo, but it's all 5-string. I like the uke because it's kinda the 'new frontier' these days and the kind folks on this forum are tolerant enough to let me get away with posting here. Next time I'm at the Symphony I will check out who's on oboe!

Nice and tasteful playing!
And wearing a thumb pick, yet... i couldn't see your fingers, were you wearing fingerpicks?

No Will, on nylon strings I get better tone out of fingernails.
