Gruhn just listed a 2000 Gibson Granada which looks very nice, except it has the "extra" inlays of a Scruggs model. In a Granada rosewood fingerboard.

Did Gibson do this often? First one I've encountered.

I have seen a few. I actually like Hearts and Flowers better. It's basically a Scruggs model with gold plating. Nice. And reasonable too.

bill53 it's a beauty, but for us 5 string pickers, just try to find someone to make you a 5 string neck with all the carving, etc. I have tried. No dice at a price/delivery time I can accept.

Maybe it's just that it was what Earl had, but I really like that inlay pattern. I think the inlay on the first fret makes the neck look longer. Maybe it is the "more bling" near the headstock to balance it aesthetically, but it is quite an attractive inlay, I'm surprised we don't see it around more on custom and related models.
