Hello:

I have just been given a 5-string SS Stewart banjo, serial number 3608 and I an trying to find information about what model it might be. It appears to be in very good shape though it is quite plain, which leads me to believe it might be a student model. It has diamond fret markers and a metal-clad drum. The fretboard has a gorgeous stripe of lighter wood along the edge. Stamped SS Stewart Phila.PA. Any information very much appreciated.

Not without clear, focused and well lit photos.
