I use F,Bb,D,G (low to high) Chicago tuning on 4-string using 5-string banjo strings. It make it easy to play with horns who love to play in Bb and Eb.

19 fret banjo? I use GHS 230 11-30 set on a Gold Tone CC-IT 17.

Movable chords make horn keys easy anyway, but whatever works!

Edwin, I use F,Bb,D,G on bass guitar. I like this tuning for the same reason that you said.

>>Movable chords make horn keys easy anyway, but whatever works!<<  You probably know viola tuning, but I only know guitar tuning (Chicago tuning with chords with melodies mostly on the top string), and I like to use some open strings.   Yes, 19-fret tenor.
