From Bob Wills - those western swing boys had a predilection for major sixth chords!
I thought someone on this forum might find this mildly interesting.

Thanks, Laurence. Nicely done and I enjoyed your swing'en western style. When I had a brief romance with a square-neck dobro, this tune was one of my braver attempts. Just the name "Pan Handle Rag" conjures up a lot of great western swing musicians and the sounds of pedal steel behind Johnny Gimble's fiddle.

Thanks Paul - yep, I've played my share of New Mexico honky-tonks where people actually knew how to dance to this stuff!

Way cool, Laurence. What did you use to get that sound out of a Mastertone?

Wow! That's really nice mutated JAZZY banjo picking!

Thanks everyone!
Bill - it's a Mike's mute. I use it a lot around the house (my banjo is so darn loud) and it can take quite a while to get my touch back for unmuted so I just let it rip and hoped for the best!

Laurence, Love your playing and that Western Swing feel. You sure can "lay Back & Swing". One of your big fans. Eddy (a Minstrel)
