What are you playing now? Paul Hawthorne's site Asian banjos indicates that the Nashville brand is a " Gibson copy, mid 70's (one bought new in '78) ebony board, multi ply rim, 2 piece flange flathead." Would think it would have to be a pretty special copy at that asking price. I do like the ad's description.
To me, the banjo appears to be an import. It is not, in my opinion, worth more than $500. First Quality Music in your home town of Louisville offers some very good American banjos. They are built in-house by Eric Sullivan.
Asian Bottlecap Banjo, no tone ring, multiply rim, cheap enclosed guitar style tuners, inlay is probably plastic,......absolutely nothing special about that banjo. Top dollar I would pay would be around $250 including the so-called HS case. The seller claims it's made in the U.S. again I doubt that very much, looks like thousands of identical Asian made banjo's with different branding on the peghead.
