The Manhattan Minstrel Eddy Davis playing and singing an original song in the style of a New Orleans "Backroom Ballad". Davis is playing on his Custom OME 12" head - 17 fret Tenor Banjo.
Hey make me a "Hit" on youtube. Eddy

Beautiful song! I love your compositions, as usual.

Great work Eddy. It's got the real New Orleans feel!

But I have to ask you, is it true you used to go down the fire-pole head first?

Muskrat - Posted - 02/09/2019:  16:32:30

(I read that in a book)

Dan, yes It's very true. That was at the Fire Station Inn in Anaheim in 1967. Where were you then? Eddy

Eddy. I was in high school in 1967 (los angeles). I've been reading Sonny Helmer's book. A lot of funny stories. How did you manage to go down the firepole head first without hitting your head at the bottom?

Nice song Eddy. You make me want to buy a tenor, but then I'd just burn it after listening to you. BTW, in 1967 I was doing stuff that made me feel like I was sliding down a fire pole upside down.
