Since the enactment of GDPR websites have been more or less duty bound to spell out their privacy policies and make them obvious. I get that - especially considering that this is in every regard an international site. But that big red warning box atop each forum thread is getting old. Yes, I can click it and make it go away - but is it really necessary for us to do it every session? Couldn't we just agree once and be done with it?

Skip, I don’t see it anymore. I dismissed it or something and it hasn’t been back.

I don't see it, either. Did you click on the okay or whatever it was that you needed to click on to acknowledge that there were cookies? If not, do so and see if it goes away.

It does go away - until the next time you either restart the browser or reboot the computer. Whence it comes back in all its glory.

Firefox, if it matters.

Early on, I clicked that I understood and agreed, but the box remained. Just now, in the lower right hand corner I clicked hide message and it went away. I closed BHO and re-opened it, and the box did not return! I guess I'm glad it gone, but it never really bothered me.

I suspect it drops a cookie onto you if you have read it, or click hide. Your firefox is probably set up to delete cookies when exiting the application, as is mine. So I will be seeing red along with you until the banner is killed.
