"The Manhattan Minstrel" Eddy Davis playing and singing a great tune originally written as a concert piano piece for piano and orchestra in1933 by Peter DeRose, who was married to and had a Radio act with the great UKE performer and writer May Singhi Breen. Later around 1938 the song had become so popular that the great lyric writer Mitchell Parish add lyrics Davis is playing his Custom OME 12' head - 17 fret neck Tenor Banjo.
A Tutorial on a light Classical piece. To me - a very interesting song in it's construction. Eddy (A Minstrel)
