Good one... My all time favorite thou, is the Farside "Welcome to Hell, Maestro".. where the devil is opening the door for a conductor in a tux and carrying a little stick... and you can see through the door, a room full of banjo pickers...

yeah, that Farside cartoon really is the benchmark and probably the real way the banjo and banjo pickers are perceived , but, we knew where this train was going when we got on it, right?

My favorite was the guy in the water handing a banjo up to a guy on a dock, his car sinking in the background, and he says, "Hold this! I gotta go back and save my wife." Banjered

Question: How do you enlarge pics like above. I tried to but they come out much smaller.

Once you have uploaded the picture to your own profile. click on it to make sure it is large. Then copy and paste the pics "URL" into line that opens when you use the image icon in the messages. I hope that helps.

I loved all those old Far Side cartoons - but somehow I didn't remember the 2nd one posted. Seems like Gary Larson had a few more, too. Thanks.
BTW a year or two ago I went to the Symphony and there was a banjo in the orchestra. I couldn't even hear it. I can't remember what the music was - probably Aaron Copland or something like that.
