You have to export as an ASCII or RTF file and use your copy and paste from that exported file. I see no way for TablEdit to copy measures to the clipboard and past into another program. It has always been a limitation. Just tried it. It does not work. In addition, the Copy Measure command only works within the actual TablEdit file your are working and is used to do exactly what it says, copy and past measure(s) in the project.

If you only have the Tefview function of tabledit (read only for tab) there is no way to copy & paste sections of it directly.
Otherwise, what can be done...open the tab and do a "print preview" and enlarge it to give you the best resolution for the section you want to copy. Then, do a 'print screen' ....then PASTE it to a blank Word page...then COPY it again from what you just pasted into Word ...then PASTE it into to something like Gimp, Paint Shop Pro, or some other picture editing software... CROP it to the selected section. Then COPY the newly cropped section and paste it back into Word (be sure to delete the first paste of the whole screen snapshot.) You might want to save the cropped section into a file for other uses 'just in case'. I just tried it...it works fine. A bit of a 'backdoor' way of doing it... but it's quick once you get the hang of it.
Hope this helps. Email me if you have any questions on my explanation.

Hi Tex...
It's not as easy as it sounds..... If you are working with multiple tabs as you open the second tab the first one closes...
This is what I do...
Open the 1st Tab THEN
Select NEW from the FILE menu
Look along the top menu you will see Windows <2> indicating you have two windows open.
With the NEW window active, open the second TAB File you want to paste the information into
Check along the top menu you will see Windows <2> indicating you still have two windows open. The NEW window is gone.... It's IMPORTANT you understand this otherwise things get frustrating..
If you Click on the Windows tag you can now toggle between the two open TAB Files.
Open the TAB you want to copy from..... Click on the measure you want to copy... A little blue box should appear at the cursor. Holding your Shift Key drag the cursor until you have highlighted the area you want to copy. Be sure to highlight ALL the notes in the measure/s....
Click the right mouse button and select copy.
Go to the Windows drop menu and toggle the other file... Click on the measure and select paste..
BE AWARE If you copy several measures and you try to INSERT these measures into an existing document it will overwrite any data you have in the area you are pasting to..
If you work with multiple pages be sure to back up your files before you start. It's so easy to OVERWRITE your original document.
You can have more than two files open at the same time/ Just follow the NEW page procedure I mentioned earlier.
Hope this makes sense.

It easily can be done as follows. (For full TablEdit version, not sure about TefView)
Choose "Print Preview" as if you are going to print the tab. While in Print Preview you can select any part of the tab by holding down the left mouse key and windowing in around your selection. Then choose "Export" and select one of the "Copy to Clipboard" options. Close the Print Preview, now you have your selection on the clipboard and can paste it into another document. Note that you can also export a tab or selection from Print Preview to several other image formats.
