There are BHO playlists in iTunes (although not your own individual playlist). These can be downloaded.

I created a playlist too see how it worked and I don't see how you will be able to transfer one to your ipod. I think your best bet is going to be downloading the individual mp3's on your list and then moving them over to the ipod. If your play list is long this will be a pain but it will work. Hopefully I'm wrong.

When you are in the Hangout Audio Player , next to the name of the person who posted the tune there may be a link that says Download MP3. If there is you can just right click on that link and save it to your computer (those are the instructions for internet explorer) If there is no Download MP3 link then the person who posted the tune decided that they did not want it to be downloadable.
There is also a download link on the member's music page. So for example, if you wanted to download all of Tom Berghan's stuff (which is a good idea) you could go to his member page, then to his music page and download the tunes he has posted.
