I just tried to play the song and got the same result.

The only way I could play the whole piece was to move the cursor to the first note, hold down 'Shift' and click on the last note. This gives a 'Selection' marked out in light blue. Go to 'Play>Play>Selection only' and the whole tune plays. However when you then try to play it as normal it brings up the problem again.

Take the slider bar and move it back to the beginning, left click on the first note of the second measure (open D) then it will play it. If you download it, then do this is should ask you if you want to save changes, tell it yes. This should fix it, except you won't be hearing the first measure.

Yeah that works but still intriqued as to why it does what it does i'me assuming it must be some thing in the designated settings when it was tabbed, where's "JACK" when you need him

It's designed that way so you can loop a series of measures or a part of the song.

I use it all the time to play certain parts I want to memorize or learn to play.

I went to the Reading list (where you put in the repeats) and it says that only measure 36 was to be played. I changed it to 1-36 and then it's possible to listen to the whole tab.

That's right. The "reading list" is bad. Since you have the full Tabledit, you can change it to read from measure 1 to measure 36 and resave the file.

Maybe Devon will see this thread and fix the tab and re-upload it.

Howdy Ray et al,
Just got home and it's just the reading list that has to be changed from 1-36 and that fixed it right away--a common mistake/oversight...Jack Baker NYC...I went right to the reading list before I read the following posts. It's good to do that if the song behaves in this manner...j.
