** I spoke to Reed on the phone about a month ago and he said he was going to Clifftop. Did anyone spot him there and get to see him picking in a banjo contest? I was curious to know whether anyone had the good fortune of meeting up with him and possibly picking with him too.

Thanks to list member Glenn Carson I met Reed and got to try out the beautiful banjo Glenn had made for him. Reed was very gracious.

saw Reed, watched him play in the banjo contest and finish 2nd place Seniors-- to my ear he should have made the finals, but so should a lot of other people who didn't. Reed is just as good, just as clean, and just as easy on the ears as ever, if not a little better.
