I am looking for the tabs to Rocket Man like the guy plays it on youtube.
If you have the tabs and the tuning it would be helpful. Thanks

Here's the link to the mp3 the way I played it in the tab published in Banjo Newsletter in March 2003.

http://www.banjonews.com/2003MP3/Ma...ocketMan.mp3

I played it in the Key of Bb and used the tuning Bb D G Bb D, which worked out really well for bringing out the melody and the supporting harmony notes.

I can't get the YouTube video to load so I'd like to hear how this audio version compares with the arrangement shown on the YouTube site.

Thanks for listening,

Tom

hey tom do you think you can get me a copy of those tabs????

Hugh - thanks for the info. I'll try searching "Todd Taylor" at YouTube rather than trying to get that direct link to load.

flame0033 (sorry I can't find your name anywhere) - I submit most of my tabs to BNL in an unfinished form, so between that and a couple of computer crashes over the years, I don't have finished copies or, in most cases any copies, of the tabs that I've sent in. Two exceptions come to mind - I have finished versions of Five Speed and Take Me Home, Country Roads. So I tell folks on my website to get back copies of BNL directly from them at http://www.banjonews.com/BNlhtml/backcopy.html

"Each column is available as a back issue and can be ordered directly from Banjo Newsletter."

I own the rights to my tab arrangements but not the right to scan and email pages of BNL magazine.

You're welcome Tom.

Let me ad to Tom's post:

When you order a back issue of BNL you not only get the tab BUT you get a great mag. to peruse as well.
