Maybe a little plunky. Its not as loud as I had expected. It has a clean sound all the way up the neck. Sound Rating 9 Setup I bought it second hand, six monts old, so I can't comment on the factory setup. The action was a lttle high for my liking with an 11/16 bridge. I replaced it with a 5/8" and still feel its a little high. Setup Rating not rated Appearance It looks like a banjo! I'm not really into appearances - only the sound and playability. I would describe it as having a clean, classic look. Appearance Rating 7 Reliability It seems to be built to last with high quality hardware. It will probably outlive me. Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service Since I bought it second hand I haven't dealt with the customer service. I did email them asking for their recommendation for a pickup, but never got a reply. Customer Service not rated Components It seem like it is constructed with all the best quality parts. Components Rating 10 Overall Comments I would absolutely recommend this banjo. If it was stolen I would cry my heart out. I'm not crazy about the radius neck though only because it takes a little getting used to when I switch to my other banjo. It's not quite as loud as some but has great tone. Overall Rating 9
