Ultrasound CP-100 submitted 6/26/2008 Submitter Banjocoltrane Where Purchased Elderly Overall Comments This is an Ultrasound CP-100 amp. The CP stands for COMPACT and boy is it. I had not seen the amp in person before ordering and when it arrived at my house i had questions as to whether the amp was REALLY in there. It is two channeled. Has two inputs for instrument cable and two inputs for mics (phantom powered as well). Essentially, it doubles as a Small PA...you can plug banjo/guitar in one channel and run a condensor mic into the other...love it Its 100 POWERFUL watts and includes 16 effects modes...reverb, delay, chorus, rotary speaker, slapback...the slapback is lots of FUN. After a few minutes i was able to darn near reproduce the ACOUSTIC qualitites of my banjo...closest i've EVER got using a pickup...much better than my old fender amp that was designed for an electric. These amps are designed for ACOUSTIC instruments. This amp is VERY compact, no larger than a mandolin case....yet powerful....you cant go wrong with this. Overall Rating 10

I like the looks of it better than any case on the market...leaves people guessing what instrument is in it. The thing is build solid as a rock. Having the ability to open up the compartments without taking the banjo out is a major plus. It IS heavy, but one can't expect something made like this to weigh 2 pounds. I highly recommend it Overall Rating 9
