Sound
|
Replaced bridge with a Sosebee Old Timber and adjusted the head tension. Really nice tone. great 4th string and tone right up the neck. You can feel the vibrations through the whole instrument. Not exactly like my 1983 Stelling Sunflower but really a joy. The sound is not overly bright. Very nice mellow sound with lots of punch. |

Appearance

Mahogany finish not fancy but very good. Tortoise on the resonator has some spaces that needed filling but it is still very good. Excellent fit and finish on the rest. . |

While it is somewhat plain the tone is really superior for the price. Very good playability. Very Highly recommended. For playability and sound this is one excellent banjo which performs every bit as good as a $3000 - $4000 jo. |
