Fabulous custom woodwork and just like he advertises, the hardware compliments the wood. I don't like inlays anyhow, I think it takes away from the beauty of the wood. I have two banjos, one is madrone and oak, and the other is myrtle wood and osage. They are indeed works of art. |

I would give him an 11 if I could. The customer service can't be beat anywhere. I received a lot of personal attention, and he made sure that I was happy with everything, in detail. |

The workmanship is incredible. The customer service is fantastic. The banjos look and feel solid, warm, and though brand new, they look like they have been around for 100 years. I mean that in a good way. He could make one look modern I'm sure. But, if you like old time music and an instument that looks and sounds old timey, you won't find a better banjo anywhere. |

I love the banjos. The prices are extremely reasonable. These are totaly custom to the specifications of the buyer. I'm not going to knock the companies out there that have a higher volume and make good banjos, However, there prices are a lot higher, and I don't feel the quality is any better. |

Very bright, made of massaranduba, ironwood and a little white oak. Very dense woods. I was upstairs in the bedroom and my wife was downstairs playing the piano at the end of a 27' room opposite from meand you could feel the sound of the piano all the way to the top of the peg head.Pretty darn amazing if you ask me. we are talking at least 40 feet across the rooms up a flight of stairs and in another room. The door to the bedroom was open, but still pretty darn good. |

Doc and his wife are great people. I got a banjo and made a new friend! The neck needed a slight adjustment and Doc talked me through it on the phone. It was done in five minutes. He really builds a quality thought out product, he says its guaranteed for everything for life and i believe it. |

The brass hardware is a standout, and it has nice five star tuners with ivoroid buttons. The ironwood hand carved bridge is neat. |
