If compared to instruments costing 20x more it would be faint and weak, but for £75... Sound Rating 8 Setup My tutor was very skeptical that you can but a banjo for so little without playing it first and expect it to be any good...BUT... this one is fine. The neck is straight, everything is lined up OK. For an absolute beginner its fine. the neck is quite narrow making it hard to get clear chords, esp if you have big fingers. Strings can be pulled off side of frets if not careful. Setup Rating 8 Appearance looks good to me! no flaws. well polished and hasn't been scratched as yet. not a fancy ornate banjo but, again, for £75.... Appearance Rating 6 Reliability A cheap banjo that has been cheaply made in Korea. The pegs are cheap metal and will snap very easily i expect. one day i will accidentally knock it as i pick it up and it'll be in a bad way. you get what you pay for. keep well away from children! Reliability Rating 4 Customer Service eBay seller was good. it arrived quickly and well boxed up. shipped with adjustment tools and setup guide leaflet Customer Service 9 Components Pegs are cheap and look like they'll shear quite easily Head is REMO (Korean not USA) Strings are cheap hell, the whole thing is cheap! Components Rating 4 Overall Comments This is a superb banjo for almost no money. I wasn't sure if i would like playing and i didn't want to risk a larger investment. I'll replace it in about 6 months and it will have done its job. If its still in one piece, which if I'm careful it will be, I'll flog it on eBay again! This will only suite a beginner, and if you're serious about playing you'll want to upgrade within a year. Overall Rating 8
