Very beautiful tone. Sound Rating 10 Setup Perfectly set up exactly how I wanted it. Dave at turtle hill did the setup on it and I contacted him and told him what I wanted, and that is what I got. Setup Rating 10 Appearance No flaws, very beautiful. I had a certain inlay pattern put in it and ot turned out perfect. Appearance Rating 10 Reliability I believe it will last a lifetime, and then some. Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service I can not say anything better about Scott and Dave both. They were great. Scott delivered exactly what I asked for and Dave, when the shipping company LOST the banjo, got it sorted out for me in no time. Scott was already starting a new one for me as well in case it was un-recoverable. Thank God UPS found it. Customer Service 10 Components Everything was wonderful, high quality. Components Rating 10 Overall Comments If you want a great banjo then this is where to look. Scott is superb when it comes to building and Dave was great to deal with purchasing it. Notes are clear and crisp up and down the neck. Getting better every day as it gets more and more play. Sound Rating 10 Setup Setup was well done. Dave had the banjo in top shape. As it plays in it gets even better. Setup Rating 10 Appearance This is one beautiful mahogany banjo. Has hearts and roses inlay and inlay up and down the neck and around the resonator. There are no areas where I would think there could be any improvement. Appearance Rating 10 Reliability Too early to tell but all indications are that all will stand the test of time well. Finish is extremely well done and should last forever with the proper care. Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service Dave and Scott have always answered questions in real time when I asked them questions about the makeup of the banjo. It is warrantied against the usual (i.e. only stupidity is not covered). I know that Dave at Turtle Hill always does whatever is necessary to keep his clientele satisfied and would never hesitate a minute to buy from him. Customer Service 10 Components Elite Z bridge is absolutely great. All else (frets, resonator, etc) appear to be ones that willl there forever. Components Rating 10 Overall Comments This is one great banjo. With the Pass rim and Tenn 20 ring it really is a great testament to workmanship. The banjo itself is a work of art. Finish and inlay work are outstanding. I would put it up against others costing considerably more. This is probably more banjo than I deserve and one I hope to be able to rise to the level of competence this banjo deserves... Overall Rating 10
