It has volume, sustain, it's crisp and is so consistent regarding tuning, intonation etc. Sound Rating 10 Setup It was set-up perfectly but I made a few adjustments and found that with a clear head instead of a frosted head the sound was even crisper. Setup Rating 10 Appearance It's a beautiful banjo, just enough ornate materials. It is curly maple and with a clear head this banjo definitely stands out. Appearance Rating 10 Reliability I play professionally and it has had a hard 2 years on the road since I got it. There has never been a problem with it. It's so solid. Reliability Rating 10 Customer Service The nicest people on the planet! Hats off to Carolina, Carol and Barry. So nice! I am waiting for my new custom Golden Classic Tenor and I've been talking to them alot, they are tops! Customer Service 10 Components No need to upgrade anything Components Rating 10 Overall Comments I would recommend this banjo even though by the time it gets to Ireland it's expensive. There are a few good banjo makers in Ireland who specialise in tenor banjos but none of them compare with a Deering. They don't have the same sustain, volume and they look old before their time.
